Welcome to Suffolk Law
Class of 2021
Class of 2022
Dear First Year Student,
On behalf of the Student Bar Association (SBA), I would like to welcome you to Suffolk University Law School. Your career here will be a journey filled with rewarding challenges. My name is Amber Meyer and I am this year’s SBA President. The SBA is a governing body on campus comprised of students and student organizations that serves to further student interests, and is led by student body representatives and committees. It is extremely important to get involved in student organizations and events early to establish connections with alumni, professors, and students here on campus. The SBA can help you connect with other members of the legal community who are interested similar (or different) hobbies, interests, and career paths.
Suffolk University Law School has over forty vastly different student organizations. There are different athletic organizations, diverse affinity groups, and practice area groups. There is an organization for everyone! Although you may be a new law student, I encourage you to introduce yourself to members of student organizations, attend meetings, and attend events held by the student organizations. The SBA will host events throughout the year that are also fantastic networking opportunities.
Lastly, law school may seem like a long road ahead of you now, but it will fly by and before you know it you’ll be preparing for graduation. Please do not take your journey for granted, and take moments to reflect and appreciate your hard work. I encourage you to reach out to me at email@example.com or the SBA Vice President, Keli Chang, at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or comments you may have.
